Greetings from the Speaker

As Speaker of the Parliament of Navarra, I would like to welcome you to our Web site.

The Parliament of Navarra’s Web site is our response to the opportunity to be nearer to the people in our Community which new technology makes available to us.

It is therefore particularly important because it allows us to open the doors to the institution which represents us all, through its different policies and programmes, so that all those interested can find out what is going on in Parliament. What laws the Members of Parliament pass, what initiatives the parliamentary groups present, what agreements are adopted.

Everything we do in Parliament is on this site and it all belongs to those who have chosen the members of this Chamber which legislates, passes the Budgets so that the Administration can operate and services can be provided to the population of Navarra and, in the name of Navarra's people, controls the work of the Government of Navarra.

The transparency which accompanies the idea of representativeness and the democratic values which the parliamentary institution embodies are also reflected on the site. A site which we hope will continue to grow in the VII term of office which I have the honour to preside and, so that this may happen, I would like to count on the help of its users, the people of Navarra.

One of the new features of this term is the decision to professionalise the work of parliamentarians. Parliamentary work can also be supported through the service offered by this informative, civil participation forum. With the work of political representatives and the support and collaboration of everyone, we can help improve the service provided by the parliamentary institution, and enhance the quality of life and progress of those who share the marvellous project of living in Navarra.
